That night, there were shepherds in a field, guarding their sheep. The night the same as any other, nothing significant or unique. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared. Surrounded by a radiant glory, the shepherds were stunned, and filled with fear.

But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid! I have news that will bring great joy! He’s here! Yes, The Messiah that God’s people have waited for.

You will find a baby in the city of David, lying in a manger, with no place to call home. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies; Defenseless. The king of kings without a throne.

The glory of God, now revealed through one man. The creator bound by creation, committed to His divine plan.

He has come to His people, to be rejected and despised. Unrecognized by those He made, the source of life will be sent to die. Having left His place of Honor to restore Glory lost by man. The son of God will be crucified, and for three days, death will stand.

But His story won’t end as any other might, for Glory will return to whom it belongs, and the darkness, overwhelmed by His light.

For the child born to us will unravel expectations set by history. Through justice He will render kings speechless, and God’s people will share in His victory!

The son will reign at His Father’s right hand, and all nations will come under He who is forever both God and man.

And there is more to come, though the end is finished and known. For the King of Glory will return to His people, and this time He will bring His throne.

He will establish what has long been decided, that every knee in heaven, and on earth, and under it will bow. Glory will be restored and everything made right, and his work begins now.

So go! Go see for yourself and worship at his feet! The Messiah has come to you, lowly keepers of sheep.

Then the heavens opened and an army of angels roared for their king! “Glory Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, there will be peace.”
